About the Trust

The UCLH NHS Foundation Trust, situated in the heart of London, is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK and provides first-class acute and specialist services across UCH, UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre, the Royal Ear Nose and Throat Hospital, the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, the Eastman Dental Hospital and the Heart Hospital.

Being a Foundation Trust we remain firmly part of the NHS but have been set free from central Government control to manage our own budgets and shape the services we provide to better reflect the needs and priorities of our local community.  Through our Governing Body we are able to listen to the views of patients, local people, staff and partners and by doing so, offer patients faster, better and more responsive healthcare.

In 2009, the Dr. Foster Hospital Guide named UCLH the UK's top NHS Hospital Trust for receiving the best scores over 13 quality indicators covering mortality rates, low infection levels and best safety practice. For more information about the Trust please click here.
