Please support us over the next year!

For the past two years our events programme has been severely hindered by Covid-19, with the majority of in person events cancelled. However, 2023 looks set for a return to normality, so why not take a look at the events we've got coming up and consider taking on a challenge?

SNOWDON BY NIGHT

10th June 2023

Snowdonia National Park in North Wales is synonmous with beautiful, rugged landscapes and wonderful trekking and outdoor pursuits. The highest mountain in England and Wales at 1,085m, Snowdon's Welsh name is Yr Wyddfa, reputedly the burial place of a mythical giant. A popular summit trek by day-time, it forms a real challenge by night. Standing at the summit by moonlight will be an unforgettable experience, as will seeing the sunrise from the mountain slopes as you descend and witnessing the spectacular landscapes opening up before you as the day grows lighter.

For this challenge we ask participants to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £49 and then raise a minimum of £350 payable 10 weeks before departure.

CORNISH COASTAL CHALLENGE

15th September 2023

This beautiful weekend trek follows the dramatic coastline of North Cornwall. The landscapes are spectacular with rugged cliffs, hidden coves and old fishing villages forming a beautiful backdrop to the blue sea. Starting at Harlyn Bay, west of Padstow, you will walk for 24 hilly miles to St Agnes - a challenging distance considering the terrain. You'll pass the well-known beach stacks of Bedruthan Steps, as well as old reminders of Cornwall's mining heritage, while Poldark fans will recognise some key filming locations, such as Holywell Bay, with the much-filmed Gull Rocks off-shore.

For this challenge we ask participants to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £80 and then raise a minimum of £660 payable 10 weeks before departure.

NORTHERN LIGHTS WINTER TREK

1st November 2023

Iceland lies on the edge of the Arctic Circle and is home to some of Europe's greatest wild landscapes. A land of incredible contrast and natural beauty, its wild volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, geysers and waterfalls, combined with its rich history, literature and folklore make it a fascinating country to explore. You will trek through a striking mix of geothermal valleys and beautiful mountain scenery, streams and waterfalls. There will be snow underfoot so it's challenging walking, but no technical expertise is required as you take advantage of seeing this beautiful regiong in winter. Staying in a spectacular environment surrounded by lakes and mountain scenery, miles from the nearest big towns, the dark skies offer a great chance of seeing the spectacular Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).

For this challenge we ask participants to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £299 and then raise minimum of £3,200 each payable 10 weeks before departure.

We hope that we can help you to make 2023 a year to remember for all the right reasons, and look forward to supporting you along the way.
