Incredible support from The Woosnam Foundation and The Lord Leonard and Lady Estelle Wolfson Foundation for the Stroke Unit

We are delighted that The Woosnam Foundation and The Lord Leonard and Lady Estelle Wolfson Foundation have very generously chosen to support the Stroke Unit at UCLH over the next three years with a joint annual donation of £100,000 to The Michael Feldman and The Lady Estelle Wolfson Bursary Fund. The Woosnam Foundation, via Mr Michael Feldman, has provided generous support to the Stroke Unit since 2019 and we are incredibly grateful that this support will be continuing for a further three years alongside the Lord Leonard and Lady Estelle Wolfson Foundation.

The Michael Feldman and The Lady Estelle Wolfson Bursary Fund held at UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation supports the education, training and development of nurses and doctors who work within the Stroke Unit at UCLH under Stroke and Geriatric Consultant Dr David Turner.

Dr Turner (pictured right) expressed his appreciation, saying ‘we are extremely grateful for this generous and ongoing donation. The ethos of the fund is to invest in people by supporting training and education. The fund is managed by the front line senior team, this way we can focus spending to best recruit and retain staff in stroke services. Stroke care is an essential emergency service and is only provided by the NHS. This donation will help us invest more in our staff, improve care and benefit all the community as a result.’

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr Michael Feldman and Lady Estelle Wolfson for their amazing support of the stroke services team at UCLH.
