Princess Anne visits the Respiratory Laboratories

Princess Anne visits the Respiratory Laboratories

On Wednesday 10th February 2016, HRH Princess Anne visited the new Lungs for Living Research Centre, part of UCL Respiratory Research Department, to celebrate the opening of the new laboratories.

The research facility has undergone a multi million pound renovation programme which completed in October 2015.

The redevelopment represents a significant moment for the translational research taking place there and the entire Division of Medicine at UCL/UCLH.

Professor David Lomas, Vice Provost at UCL, introduced Princess Anne to representatives from the Division of Medicine who were integral to the renovation project. Professor Lomas then handed over to Professor Sam Janes, Head of the Research Department and Lungs for Living, who gave a presentation about the need for research into lung cancer.
