We are grateful to our London Runners

We are immensely grateful to Rob Hynds (pictured below), who is a Research Fellow at University College London, for running the London Marathon on our behalf on Sunday 28th April. Rob raised more than £2,000 to support our work.

Rob told us that, “Running the London Marathon for UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation was an incredible experience. At the start line you’re surrounded by people with amazing stories and wonderful motivations for running. It is so well supported for the full 26.2 miles. The crowds down the final straight from Monument to Westminster really carry you. I achieved my goal of running a sub-3 hour marathon, so my training really paid off. I’m delighted to have raised so much money for the Charitable Foundation’s important work. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me.”

We would also like to thank Louise Williams and her partner Gareth for running the Asics London 10k on Sunday 21st July, and to wish our runners who are taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October, good luck.

It is wonderful when people choose to support by taking part in our events, raising awareness and generating support, please take a look at our events programme to see what we've got coming up over the next few months, thank you.
